Does everyone remember how it all started? Someone found this game listed on the US Amazon site and made a big fuss out of it, and now the production and distribution of rape games are banned in Japan. I'm guessing only rape sims are banned otherwise those h-game companies would've definitely raised some objections. So what exactly constitutes a "rape game" anyway? Does it have to be a rape simulator? Or does it include visual novels featuring rape as well? Because I'm pretty sure every h-game features rape in one way or another - it's just how they roll in Japan. It was pretty interesting, in that he says they're treating the game like a Thought Crime. That means you are going to be defending the right of people to read, or to write, or to say, what you don't say or like or want said.Because if you don't stand up for the stuff you don't like, when they come for the stuff you do like, you've already lost." You see, recently a man was arrested in the USA for possessing lolicon manga, or erotic drawings of underage girls, and maybe there were some drawings of child rape. With all due respect, I am not endorsing pornography of any kind, and I don't know if you would consider this related but hear me out. There are a couple of reasons I am disappointed by this.
